This grant will support the second phase the Public Policy Forum report on the status of water infrastructure – including stormwater, waste water and drinking water systems—in the Milwaukee area.
Stormwater Reduction/Green Infrastructure
Alverno College will install an extensive green roof on its new commons building as part of a major renovation and expansion of its 46-acre campus on Milwaukee’s southwest side. The college will also install a bioswale to capture runoff from paved services.
Support planning for the restoration of the harbor
Sixteenth Street Community Health Center will work with public and private partners to promote the restoration and revitalization of Inner Harbor. A grant from the Fund will ensure that efforts to redevelop the Inner Harbor include meaningful and aggressive goals for improving water quality and habitat within the harbor and larger Milwaukee Estuary AOC.
Menomonee RiverWalk Concept Plan
