With this funding, Menomonee Valley Partners will work with stakeholders and the City of Milwaukee to develop a conceptual plan for a RiverWalk system along the last three-miles of the lower Menomonee River in Milwaukee, from approximately 27th Street to 2nd Street, where it meets the Milwaukee River and the existing Milwaukee RiverWalk. The plan will establish design guidelines and identify areas for vegetative buffers for stormwater treatment, on-bank and in-stream habitat improvements, public gathering spots, fishing piers, and boat launches.
