Wild Indigo is a community engagement program that seeks to connect urban communities of color in the Great Lakes region to their local natural areas.  Wild Indigo came to Milwaukee in 2020 and has been a welcome addition to the community. We have seen them bring new voices and new energy to local projects especially on the north side of the city. Over the course of the next year, Wild Indigo will focus its programing on Havenwoods State Forest, Lincoln Park and the Lincoln Creek Greenway, all of which are important from a water stewardship perspective.
