On the grounds of Washington High School, students, staff, and Sherman Park residents will help install an artificial turf field, a rubberized 400-meter track, and basketball courts, transforming the athletic fields and surrounding area into a functional and educational resource for students and the community. These new recreational amenities will drain into a 266,50-gallon underground cistern that will manage stormwater as it demonstrates water conservation and green infrastructure.
