The Solomon Community Temple, located along Milwaukee’s historic Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, is working to better serve the Harambee neighborhood with the Belonging Place, a welcoming outdoor space for community food access, recreation, and gathering. Support from this grant will implement a pocket park featuring green infrastructure, walking paths, vegetable gardens, and native plantings This project will capture over 325,000 gallons of stormwater annually to help prevent flooding for local residents.
