The Milwaukee coalition of Take Back My Meds is keeping unused medications, including opioids, out of our waterways and out of the hands of vulnerable people by providing secure and convenient drop boxes for disposal. This award helps Take Back My Meds increase publicity and public education and place more permanent drop boxes throughout Milwaukee County. By expanding the drop box effort, Take Back My Meds is fighting the opioid epidemic while protecting Lake Michigan from pharmaceutical pollution.
