St. Anthony School is working to convert a large parking lot and other paved surfaces to green infrastructure, outdoor classrooms, athletic fields and other green spaces. The school plans to remove at least 40,000 sq. feet of asphalt and replace it with green infrastructure with the capacity to capture roughly 360,000 gallons of stormwater per rain event. St. Anthony School is located within the Kinnickinnic (KK) River Watershed, the most urbanized watershed in the state. This project represents a critical opportunity to reduce impervious surfaces and capture rainwater where it falls in the KK watershed.
