Streambank erosion is releasing sediment from Silver Creek into Lake Michigan, impairing important foraging and spawning habitat for a variety of fish species.The City of Manitowoc is developing conceptual designs to stabilize the streambanks and restore habitat along 3,700 feet of Silver Creek. This 71-acre park is classified as an Area of Special Natural Resource Concern by the Wisconsin DNR.
