Our funding would support restoration activities at Kingfisher Farm Natural Area just south of Manitowoc.  The property is managed by UW Green Bay’s Cofrin Center for Biodiversity. UWGB will implement restoration activities including prescribed burning, brush mowing, invasive species removal and native plantings. This project will offer a great opportunity for on-the-ground restoration experience on a property with high conservation value. This project will enhance 13.5 acres of wetland, 28.5 acres of hardwood forest and 11 acres of prairie. Partners will also utilize the property for education and outreach activities and long-term wildlife species monitoring.
