Two projects on one of Lake Michigan’s most impaired tributaries address an important link in a larger effort that has already improved aquatic habitat and dramatically decreased flooding. The product will be two final designs: an engineering plan to incorporate a Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance (RSC) system into the expansion of HWY KR, and a plan to restore 1,550 linear feet of stream channel and 10 acres of riparian buffer by replacing invasive vegetation with native perennials and vernal ponds.
