Neighborhood House of Milwaukee is working to transform their facility into a hub of green infrastructure that benefits the Near West Side neighborhood, Milwaukee’s water resources, and the 4,000-plus children and families they serve each year. The current student childcare drop-off site will be transformed with porous pavement, a bioswale with native plants, and educational signage — all of which will be used for curricular components focused on water conservation and green infrastructure.
