Over the next two years, Nearby Nature will continue its outreach and stewardship activities along Lincoln Creek on Milwaukee’s north side.  Since it started less than five years ago, Nearby Nature has raised awareness of the Lincoln Creek watershed, promoted use of its green spaces and engaged neighbors in stewardship activities including trash cleanups, weed outs and tree planting. Nearby Nature is actively managing invasive species, monitoring water and soil health, and restoring prairie in this area, all of which help reduce runoff to the creek.
