This investment will support the School of Freshwater Sciences’ effort to extend its Harbor Habitat Assessment and Mapping project to the Lake Michigan coast in Port Washington, Sheboygan, Manitowoc and Two Rivers. These municipalities’ estuaries are part of the proposed NOAA marine sanctuary. The project will map underwater habitat and facilitate future projects that improve the overall ecosystem of the harbors. Maps will be available to the public.
