The UW-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences is working to construct and operate the most advanced research vessel ever designed for the Great Lakes. Once launched, the Maggi Sue will allow scientists, students, and partners to further research North America’s most precious freshwater resource. This floating laboratory will be capable of enhanced data collection, analysis, and modeling, which will yield better policy, improved management actions, and improved long-term infrastructure decision-making for decades to come.
