The Kewaskum Dam is one of the few remaining dams on the Milwaukee River, impeding the movement of native fish species to vital feeding and spawning habitat upstream. Milwaukee Riverkeeper will conduct a feasibility study of fish passage options for consideration by the Village of Kewaskum. The study will also look at options within River hill Park for improving the quality of floodplains, wetlands, and riverfront buffers, as well as options for improving floodplain connectivity for aquatic organism passage into adjacent wetlands.
