The Multicultural Coalition serves communities in Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties.  With our support, Inclusion in the Outdoors will organize a series of outings focused on connecting people to the water and fostering a sense of water stewardship in the Fox Cities.  The programs are designed specifically for people of color, refugees, immigrants, and other marginalized communities. IITO will organize at least 8 outings for 200+ people focused on water-related activities, including kayaking on the Fox River, hiking in wetlands that feed into the Fox, swimming in Lake Michigan, and touring water treatment facilities. Outings will foster connections between culturally based organizations and outdoor operators. IITO will help participants connect their experiences to the water they drink and develop a concern for the waters of Lake Michigan.
