Groundwork Milwaukee wants more people to see water careers as exciting and accessible. For the members of their Ground Corps team, Groundwork is providing formal and supportive job training through hands-on experience with bioswales, shoreline stewardship, and baseline water quality monitoring in the Milwaukee River watershed. And for students, Groundwork will lead water-based education workshops and experiences to teach them about career pathways and what they need to do to get started.
