With support from the Fund, Groundwork Milwaukee will administer a nationally-accredited Clean Water Certification program in Milwaukee aimed at providing under- and unemployed individuals with skills to meet the growing and unmet demand for workers in the green infrastructure field. Groundwork Milwaukee’s Green Team is a service learning program for teens aimed at introducing youth to water stewardship and helping them develop skills in green infrastructure maintenance, habitat restoration, urban agriculture, and geospatial data collection. Ground Corps is a year-round employment program for young adults aged 19-25. Ground Corps members are trained in green infrastructure construction and maintenance and receive training and various certifications to prepare them for work in the sector.
