With Milwaukee Public Library undertaking accessibility upgrades at five branches, there is an opportunity to incorporate green infrastructure into the redesigned parking lots, walkways, and outdoor gathering spaces. The proposed improvements will capture and treat over 835,000 gallons of storm water and will also promote experiential learning about green infrastructure and other local water quality issues for over 600,000 people who visit these five libraries annually.
