Milwaukee Public Schools have selected their fourth cohort of Green and Health Schools to transform through pavement removal, green infrastructure, and the installation of educational and recreational resources. The combined green infrastructure at Nathaniel Hawthorne, Benjamin Franklin, Neeskara Elementary, Hayes Bilingual, and Zablocki Elementary Schools will  capture an estimated quarter of a million gallons of stormwater per rain event while providing local students with opportunities to grow and thrive in healthy outdoor environments.
