The Water Council will work with Hanging Gardens and the UW–Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences to install and run extensive testing on ten different vegetated roof systems on the roof of the Global Water Center building, providing consumers with a cost/value analysis for each system, in addition to infiltrating as many as 10,000 gallons of stormwater per rain event and helping to decrease the urban heat island effect.
