The River Revitalization Foundation is working with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to create new public access to the Milwaukee River where the Estabrook Dam was removed. Dam removal has opened up the river valley, and local landowners in the Glendale Corporate Park have granted easements for a river-front trail along 3 miles of shoreline, connecting the MATC trail easement downstream to Lincoln Park and the Milwaukee River Parkway. Phase II of this project will allow project partners to survey, design, and construct documents to build and manage the new trail, connecting people and neighborhoods to the river valley where no public access had been available.
