Agricultural Runoff Treatment Systems (ARTS) will be installed in key agricultural areas to reduce sediment, nutrients and stormwater runoff.  Working with Fox Demo Farms, this project will also analyze the feasibility of utilizing an ARTS for beneficial reuse in crop irrigation. If proven successful, this could provide an important incentive for wider adoption of the practice. The FFLM has supported numerous efforts in the East River, and we’ve seen a diverse group of non-profits, local governments and private citizens come together to restore the watershed. One of the many efforts is the development of an EPA approved 9-key element plan for the watershed. This project would be one of many efforts to implement this plan.
