Researchers at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point seek to better understand spawning habitats for whitefish in southern Green Bay and nearby tributaries in order to inform decisions on fish stock dynamics. The team is using data from transmitters that track the movements of 300 lake whitefish for three years to identify these key habitats and gain the information necessary to better conserve this declining species.
