Water quality is a top of mind issue for residents of Marinette and Menominee due to their exposure to PFAS. Project partners will create bid ready plans to implement green infrastructure on a highly visible twenty-acre site that currently feeds directly into the Menominee River. The community foundation has partnered with the Great Lakes Protection Fund’s Great Lakes One Water (GLOW) project to become better educated on improving water quality while introducing green infrastructure to the community, increasing capacity in the private sector to support green infrastructure, and ultimately improving water quality in the Menominee River.
