The Water Council will work with water technology innovators to conduct in-field, proof-of-concept testing of emerging clean water technologies at real-world demonstration sites in Wisconsin. Specific technologies to be piloted include HABAlert and the Turbidity Tracker. HABAlert would use artificial intelligence to quickly identify and enumerate cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) in freshwater lakes. The Turbidity Tracker is a monitoring system that uses in situ sensors to quickly measure water turbidity to estimate soil (total solids) concentration and soil erosion losses on farm fields.
